I know someone who did something similar (collected books for children in Zimbabwe). He put boxes at library entrances (just inside the door, with permission of the librarians) and decorated the boxes. He wrote that on a certain date, about a month after he put the box there, he was going to collect the books donated and ship them to Zimbabwe for a new children's library for children who had no access to books. He decorated the box with pictures of children from that area and with colorful pictures to get attention. Within a short time, people were bringing their own books their kids were done with and donating them to the box. He also put a similar box at the entrance/exit of a local supermarket/grocery store and people there tended to purchase new kids books in the store and drop them off on their way out. GOOD LUCK with your gift of reading to the people of Ghana!!! Annette in Boulder
