I am reading The Hammer of Eden by Ken Follett. A group of eco-terrorist "hippies" want the state of California to stop building power plants. To get their attention, one guy has stolen a seismic vibrator and has threatened to cause an earthquake if their demands are not met. They cause an e'quake and no one believes they were responsible. So now they are about to do it again. I live in Calif. and find this story fascinating. Caligula03, you might want to read it too when I am done.
