At least two of the packages I had to resend had "return receipt requested" labels attached. That's when I decided it probably makes little difference if those stickers are on the package.
Right now my faith in the postal service is at an all-time low. My latest bookcrossing worries are two M-bags I sent to my friend in the Ukraine about 4 months ago. Neither box has arrived which means about 95 books are MIT (Missing In Transit). Keep in mind I've sent at least 4 M-Bags in the past two years to various locations and they arrived safe and sound within 3 months.
