I've just realized that I never posted my list of books I read in June. Moving at the beginning of July threw me off schedule it seems so here it is late....
TRUTH OR DARE - Jayne Ann Krentz 5/10 - Not bad. This is the sequel to LIGHT IN SHADOW which I enjoyed more. BODY DOUBLE - Tess Gerritsen 8/10 - Very good. This story reunites readers with characters from previous books, Detective Jane Rizzoli and Dr. Maura Isles. A lot of surprise twists and multiple plots going on. When a woman is found murdered in front of Dr. Isles' home, she is believed to be Dr. Isles herself. It turns out Dr. Isles had a twin sister she never knew about... THE MISERABLE MILL - Lemony Snicket 9/10 - Very good. Quick and enjoyable read of the next installment of the plight of the Baudelaire orphans. In this round, they find themselves living and working in a lumber mill and once again fighting off Count Olaf's evil advances. BITTEN - Kelley Armstrong 9/10 - Very good. First time read of this author's work and a book I enjoyed very much. Centers around a woman living, working and in a relationship in Toronto. She's also got a big secret. She's a werewolf and has been summoned back to the pack because a rogue werewolf is killing humans. I look forward to the sequel. EVERY BOY'S GOT ONE - Meg Cabot - 9/10 - Very good. The story follows the adventures of Jane Harris, a cartoonist in Italy for her best friend's elopement. Fast read with many lighthearted and funny moments. Enjoyed the format of emails and journal entries that made the book an easy read. The characters were entertaining and easy to connect to. I look forward to more by this author. I got a notice this morning that the audiobook version of Harry Potter is available for me to pickup so I may have to jump that one to the top of the pile...
