I tend to do this periodically.  I usually (if money allows, that is)
start with Cliff's to see if there are any bookcrossers wanting the
books I'm trimming off the mountain.  After that, my next step is to
take them with me to a BC meeting, see if any other atendees are
interested.  After that, I'll start in on the wild releasing.  My
local meetings are small and mostly the same people go, so I usually
know already who would want what.
