Hi, Teresa. While it's perfectly OK for you to give those labels to someone else, those numbers are allocated to you and any book registered via those numbers will appear on your bookshelf as registered by you. [They'll also appear on the shelves of whoever makes the first journal entry, of course.] This isn't necessarily a problem if neither you nor the label-recipient minds having a bunch of books that appear to have come from you even though you never saw them, but I thought I'd mention it in case you (or whoever asks for the labels) didn't know how the prenumbered ones work! You can just hang on to them and use them for your own books - they don't expire. The longer they're left unused there is a somewhat greater chance that somebody else will accidentally enter one, so I don't recommend keeping them around unused for longer than necessary, but even if that did happen you could contact BC Support to fix it. And if you happen upon a box of books at a yard sale or somewhere, you could use these labels to tag them all with very little effort... -GoryDetails See the books I've set free at: http://bookcrossing.com/referral/GoryDetails Have you told a friend today? http://bookcrossing.com/tellafriend Archives and email list settings: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BookCrossing Yahoo!
