There was a post in Announcements from Ron this morning (
http://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/9/3427392/count_26 ) saying that
during the upgrades access to the BC forums might be limited to winged
members only; note that this is purely a temporary measure designed to
reduce load on the site while the work is going on, and that full
access will be restored soon. [I believe this only applies to the
forums; normal book registration/journaling/release should still be
available to all.]
There are some glitches on the site at the moment due to all the
changes; if you're trying to register any books, take it slowly and
make sure that each operation completes successfully, as if they get
interrupted in the middle the books may not be properly registered. If
you do have wings, you can post any problems you encounter in the
Announcements forum thread.
Hoping the upgrades proceed smoothly and we wind up with a much faster
BC soon - "soon" meaning by Friday, as I'll be at the BC convention in
Toronto and if we can't get on to the site we'll all go mad {wry grin}!
