Susan-
I am reading a double book of Nora Roberts (while in the OBX last week read
both of the books I'd taken with me & had to have a book so went & bought one.
There was a Nora Roberts book at the rental house but I didn't care for the
type.
Blackberry addict, huh? Are you talking the kind you eat or the device?

  Kathy88 -

Welcome to BX and the group! I think that Bookcrossing is one of the most
diversified 'clubs' I have ever been involved with. Not just because of our
membership - it is also because of the different things you can do with it! A
lot of people enjoy the forums - I don't really have that kind of time. I do
enjoy the Relay site (www.bookrelay.com) as well as giving RABCK and attending
local meetings. I'm sorry to say I don't wild release more - I never seem to
take the time for it.

Whatever you choose in Bookcrossing, enjoy yourself!!!

  Susan (sdkelley)

Currently Reading: Rebecca's Tale by Sally Beauman
Next Up: Katherine by Anya Seton
Just Finished: Midnight Bayou - Nora Roberts 3/5

My name is Susan and I am a Blackberry Addict. :)

  Subject: [BookCrossing] Greetings!

  Hello fellow readers!

I just joined this group (although I am a member, moderator & owner of
several others) because I released my first 5 books into the wild yesterday.
Well, they weren't my first 5 books....heaven knows I've read/owned a gazillion
through my 53 years, but what I meant was I released BX books for my first time
yesterday.

I learned about BX through my habit of entering my paper currency at
www.wheresgeorge.com. Someone in a forum mentioned BX & I thought it sounded
interesting & I signed up right then but didn't register any books till a
couple weeks ago when preparing to go on vacation where we'd be renting a house
in Avon, NC (Outer Banks) for a week. I'd noticed in other rentals we'd stayed
in that there were always some novels there for renters to read.....don't know
if the home owners place them there or other renters but I thought I'd take
some of my many & leave them (OMG! I forgot to look in the ones that were there
to see if any were marked as being registered @ BX.....you can tell I'm a
newbie at this, can't you?) for others to enjoy. I've now edited the entries on
them to show where they are. (I was a little conflugarated at first because it
seems to me that if you leave a book somewhere it's available but I think I am
right that once you l! eave it it becomes "traveling"....I hope so anyway...and
I hope mine travel to people who will enter them back into BX!)

Romance novels are what I read most often. I prefer them set in modern times
& subscribe to a couple of sets that I get monthly from Harlequin Reader
Service. Since my mother passed away & a couple of ladies at work retired & I
used to share my books with them I am really getting a backlog so I thought
registering some of them & releasing them for the pleasure of others would be a
good thing.

Anyway, just wanted to make my first post & say hello. Now I'll read some of
your posts & see what is discussed here (already see you have "gatherings" just
like we "georgers" do!).
