I am a huge fan of Sue Townsend- she has such a great sense of humor and wit. The Queen and I is her take on what would happen if the Royal Family of England were suddenly cast out and made to live in public housing. Somewhat dated now, since it was written in the early nineties, and features the Queen Mum, and a married Charles and Diana, but still quite funny and a quick read that will have you laughing out loud. Anglophiles, fans (or detractors!) of the House of Windsor, or anyone who loved the Adrian Mole series should enjoy this book.
