I was scheduled to release 5-6 books into the wild last weekend but before I left them at the Starbucks counter in my local Safeway, I asked the manager about it. She said that they would likely be tossed out. Same for the Starbucks accross the street.
What a pity! If I managed a Starbucks, I'd put in a bookshelf just for this purpose. I live on the San Francisco peninsula. Can anyone recommend some welcome BookCrossing sites? I also get to Oakland a couple of times a month and could drop books there.
