What tabby90 said is unfortunately true. My husband works for a major airline, and I also wanted to release books at the airline waiting area; it seemed to me like a logical place - waiting hours for flights; what else is there to do but read, after all?!
Sadly, he informed me that books abandoned at an airport or airplane are confiscated by staff due to post 9/11 security precautions. Now, the up side to this is my husband has rescued many (non- BC) books that that were tossed, and I have registered and released these into hopefully "safer" places! -taaza > From: Tabatha <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: 2006/11/03 Fri AM 09:07:56 CST > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [BookCrossing] International shipping > > Given the heightened security awareness at airports I strongly suggest you not leave books there.
