What tabby90 said is unfortunately true.

My husband works for a major airline, and I also wanted to release
books at the airline waiting area; it seemed to me like a logical
place - waiting hours for flights; what else is there to do but read,
after all?!

Sadly, he informed me that books abandoned at an airport or
airplane are confiscated by staff due to post 9/11 security
precautions.

Now, the up side to this is my husband has rescued many (non-
BC) books that that were tossed, and I have registered and
released these into hopefully "safer" places!

airports, but they'll probably be destroyed.
