I buy a lot of library discards just for releasing and often times there will
be just one book from a series, and it's almost never the first. I release
these all the time at the local OBCZ and they're always taken. I've come into
a lot of children's series' this way. But if I have multiple of a series I try
to release them at the same time instead of taking them individually.

I have not registered all of them yet because I'm wondering if
anyone has ever registered a set of books with one number and
somehow bundling the books together, or if I should worry about it
  at all.

Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.
