Saskatoon is crisp and cold this morning. It is 31 below (celcius). I
picked my son up from work this morning and, as I usually do, I brought
the book that I keep in the car for such occasions (one of the LEFT
BEHIND series)to read while I waited for him inside. I found it more
comfortable to read the book while wearing mitts, it was so cold.

Saskatoon is a small university city built on a site where the South
Saskatchewan river has created a deep valley in the rolling prairie.
Many boulevards here are planted with mature American Elms which form a
canopy of branches over the streets. I grew up here, then found it
necessary to move away to find employment, but I brought my family back
in 1985. Some people mark their mid-life crisis by buying a
motorcycle, some have an affair. I moved to Saskatoon.
