I just recently started two new bookrays and realized I had forgotten to post an announcement here. These are both going internationally, and everyone is welcome to participate. For those who don't know, a bookray is a bookcrossing book that gets passed from person to person in the ray based on a shipping order I'll establish. A bookring eventually comes home to its owner, but a bookray keeps travelling as long as there are people who want to read it. It's a great way to read a book and share your thoughts on it with others for just the cost of postage.
Book 1 - Neil Gaiman's Death: The High Cost of Living (graphic novel/comic book). http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/3910683 This is an offshoot of Gaiman's incredibly popular Sandman series. Death is Sandman's sister, and nothing like the stereotypical scythe and robe guy. If it were a movie, I'd say it was rated PG-13 to R - there's a bit of violence that might disturb a sensitive reader, but it's not the main focus of the story. Book 2 - Those Left Behind (Serenity) - Joss Whedon (graphic novel/comic book) http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/4859595 This is a short little volume that fills in the gap between Whedon's Firefly series and the movie, Serenity. Fabulous art and dialogue that's very true to the series, plus an introduction by Captain Tightpants (Nathan Fillion).
