We are getting ready to move, and I have been told that I must part
with many of my books before we pack. It's like abandoning children
and makes me very sad. Fortunately, Book Crossing appears to be a way
of launching my cherished books into the world where others will enjoy
them.

Today, I am taking my first batch to the Panera Bread Company bakery
and coffee shop in my town.

P.S. The hundreds of beautiful magazines I have been saving are
finding new homes in the various doctor's offices, eye clinics and
dental offices where I have been killing a great deal of time while my
aging mother is being attended to by professionals who have stocked
their waiting rooms with horrible magazines like "People." I hope I
will brighten some people's days with better things to read.
