Many more books will be picked up, read nad enjoyed than ever will be journalled. I went througfh a stage like that when I was relatively new, and stalked some of my releases, hanging around until they were picked up, so I knew they were getting picked up, not binned. I even asked here for a particular book so that I could send it to a friend, told her to journal it even if she wanted to keep it, and it didn't get journalled. Then, some of the strangest releases *do* get journalled. Try leaving them in different places. try buying people books as presents, and registering and labelling them before you wrap them. My catch rate got better then I stopped handwriting the spiel inside and started using bookcrossing labels, and again then I started using the "free book" label for the outside.
