I'm still looking for that 5/5 read this year. No luck so far.

The best of the month were Damage, Precious Victims and the Happy Bunny book.

Damage was a disturbing look at the tumultuous effect that forbidden love can
have on a family. It was kind of like watching a car accident. Very well
written.

Precious Victims hit too close to home for me. It is about the crimes and
trial of Paula Sims, a woman from Southern Illinois her murdered her two baby
daughters in the late 80s. She lived just outside Granite City, IL which is
about an hour away from my hometown. I remember the case from my childhood.
This was a hard book to read - you just can't imagine anyone being so sick. I
ended up rushing through it because I just wanted her out of my head.

Finally, there was the Happy Bunny book. It's just a silly little cartoon
book, but it made me laugh a lot. I just love that irreverent little bunny!
