<grin> I've done that before, at our local police station where, due to once
having had a criminal flatmate I am well-known (though not in trouble). for
me, it's a part of my release game: the aim of the game in police station
releases is to walk into a foyer where there are always two cops behind the
counter and cameras everywhere, slap a book on the counter, smile broadly at
the staff with full eye contact to at least one of them, and stride out
*before* they've seen the book or had a chance to say "How can we help you
ma'am?". Supreme self-confidence does the trick.

The b*stards never journal but what the hell, it's fun anyway.
