Over the years, I've learned not to expect my released
books to be journaled. I've given books to other
bookcrossers who have never journaled them. It makes
the journal entries that are made seem special.

For the last 4 years I've released books as Halloween
treats. The first 3 years I made a special bookmark to
put in each Halloween release with brief information
about the bookcrossing web site and the quote, "a
great source for Free books. To this day only two of
those books have been journaled. This year I didn't
bother with the bookmark.
