The best book this month by far was The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. It's the first in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I told my 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders that this is like Harry Potter, only instead of wizards, you have Greek gods. I did such a good job book talking it, I have 38 students on hold for the one copy we have. I'm frantically trying to get additional copies.
