Whiteout by Ken Follett is very good. I really enjoyed it.

were:
Ken Follet-whiteout
Valario Massimo Manfredi-Empire of dragons
Sandra Brown-The switch
All of them turned out to be fantastic reads, so i thought i'd 
recommend them to whoever wanted to know :-)
