Hi Sijie, I have edited it a bit, please make sure I didn't break anything in
this new patch.
While reading it, I had a question: what if we set the compaction interval to
zero? Do we have a check in place to make sure that it is not going to perform
compaction continuously? On top of making sure the behavior is correct, it
might be a good idea to update the documentation to reflect it.
