Dear Colleagues,
I would like to thank Ian Balchin for creating and
maintaining the various different mailing lists that we have
in our trade.
It is unpaid work and I for one certainly appreciate it.
I have had great responses to a lot of my requests and I
have also enjoyed the responses and camaraderie that have
come out of my postings of book industry topics.
One of my aims for my stint as a chairperson was to open
up the book community and get us talking to each other,
lighten the mood a little and take some of the
"stiffness/formality" out of the trade. I have enjoyed some
of the lighter responses from all sorts of people, some of
you whom I have never met, so thank you Ian..........long
may the lists continue!
