Shouldn't unitialized optionals compare true? i.e.,
optional<int> x = optional<int>();
optional<int> y = optional<int>();
if( x == 0 ) {
// this is obviously true
}
if( y == 0 ) {
// this is obviously true
}
therefore,
if( x == y ) {
// this should obviously be true
}
