Conceptual understanding of the Synopsis AST architecture. I think I got it at one point, but it doesn't take long for me to forget things these days ;-) 2. The fact that the DocBook output was broken to begin with, and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. 3. Conceptual understanding about how to plug together the Synopsis components into a tool which could process my source and output BoostBook. Same deal as with #1.
