The paths in BOOST_BUILD_PATH are a bit screwy, and are a mix of native paths
and canonical paths. For instance, on my WinXP box the first element in
BOOST_BUILD_PATH is:

        C:\Development\Boost\boost\tools/build/kernel

I can't say for sure that the fix is what's causing problems, because I can't
duplicate the problem Eric is having, but I am trying to handle paths
appropriately and I haven't dug into the BOOST_BUILD_PATH stuff yet.
