Sorry, I am trying to display the $ sign in the code blocks but not in
blurb.
The $ and other characters get substituted because they are not valid
C++ characters. (We should really have a source mode == none... :-)
The alternative, right now, is to use a pre block, which offers no
syntax highlighting:
[pre
$ is the first one;
The second one is /$.
]
