Ok, since I started the fight I'll jump back in.  I have no problem if 
Python replaces xslt, etc in the toolchain.  My only objection making 
the tool-chain even longer than it already is -- it's a pain now and 
Python is one more thing I don't normally use.  My current quickbook use 
actually circumvents bjam and boost build because I have a 15 minute 
perl hack that converts boostbook into docbook.  Yes, I can setup Python 
in all the environments I use.  It's really just that I work on lots of 
different computers and it gets to be a pain to constantly setup complex 
environments. One day you need to switch from Linux to windows and 
another hour gets burned figuring out how to get all the tools installed...
