As far as I'm concerned, v6 is the current version of Microsoft's compiler. I know they've released v7, but it is too buggy to compile and link my code. I'd liked to be using it but I can't. Microsoft have acknowledged their bugs and say they will be fixed in v7.1, which I gather is due within about 5 months (1Q03). I hope to move on from v6 within a few months of that.
