I'm definitely planning to post a beta. The same procedure to generate the files will be used as for a final release. That way the procedure release procedure gets tested too, as well as being most convenient for users.
It seems to me that it is better to wait a few days until several known problems are resolved, so I holding waiting for various responses on issues.
