Beman, While putting together bcp (see managing boost dependencies thread), I found that some of the boost html files contain relative URL's of that begin with "./". In order to get filesystem::path to accept these, I had to manually strip the ./ off first, so basically this is a plea to let the portable syntax recognise this, as there does seem to be a genuine need.
