Hi Jon,

Good Morning!!

I didn't get the schedule invite to create the account in sched.org. Please
send me the invite to create the account to make my own schedule.

Thanks,

Sarath

C++Now 2019 Attendees,

We'll be seeing each other in a week!

FAQ

Don't forget to re-read the attendee section of the
FAQ<http://cppnow.org/about/faq/#attendee-faq>.

Lunch Signup

Lunch with attendees in Aspen is one of the highlights of the conference, but
if you think you might be staying at the Physics Center over lunch, to attend
the Program Committee information meeting, for example, sign up for
lunch<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1w2oFdRlFScEKOHdxOpkTGwhQT8eolVxkmT4Xrw2vxyM/>.
(In the case of the PC meeting, your lunch cost is covered by the conference.)

We also have a Meet the Volunteers Breakfast for individual sponsors. It isn't
too late to support the Boost Scholarship
Fund<http://cppnow.org/about/individual_sponsors/> and join us for this event.

Travel and Lodging

If you drive from (or through) Denver to Aspen and agree to give a ride to the
other attendees or if you fly through Denver and need a ride to Aspen then
please add your trip to the C++Now Carpooling
spreadsheet<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1izqsmyMEP86ard-wQjoPvdEepdHk2_I8k96O1XgcbZc/edit#gid=302954916>
 (also available from our Transportation
page<http://cppnow.org/location/transportation/>, Ride Sharing section).

Sharing a ride is an excellent way of getting to know other C++ enthusiasts,
saving money, and staying green.

If you made arrangements at the Limelight before we made booked our overflow
block with them, you can still get the special deal. Please contact me for
details.

Remember that both the Aspen Meadows Resort and the Limelight Hotel provide
free airport shuttle service. If you are staying at the Meadows, please contact
them with your flight information. If you are staying at the Limelight, please
read their information about arranging your
pickup<https://www.limelighthotels.com/aspen/the-hotel/getting-here>.

Corporate Sponsorship

For those of you that enjoy the high quality and quick turnaround of our
session videos on YouTube<https://www.youtube.com/user/boostcon/>, please be
aware that these are possible only because of generosity of our sponsors.
Please let them know that you appreciate their support.

We want to thank our Gold Sponsors: Bloomberg and The C++ Alliance.

We want to thank our Bronze Sponsor: Ciere.

And we want to thank JetBrains for this year's video sponsorship.

Registration

Formal registration is from 4 to 6 pm in the Walter Isaacson Center of the
Aspen Meadows Resort on Sunday.

Please plan to come to registration and stay awhile to meet other attendees.

You do not need to bring a printed Eventbrite receipt or ticket, just an ID. If
your travel plans make it difficult or impossible to register on Sunday, don't
worry. We can handle late registration on Monday or even later at Stranahan
Hall. Don't miss a session because you haven't registered yet. Go to sessions
and register during a break.

Schedule

The schedule is on-line here:

    http://cppnow.org/schedule/

Accept the sched.org invite that you've been sent to create your account in
sched.org. Once you have done this, please make your own personal program
schedule. This is very important because we use this information to determine
the correct room size for each session. You can change your schedule at any
time, but we'd like your best idea now for room planning. So, please, make your
own personal program schedule. If you don't have the sched.org invite please
contact organiz...@cppnow.org<mailto:organiz...@cppnow.org>.

I can't stress enough, please make your personal schdule. It will make for a
better conference for all of us.

The second most important reason that attendees come to C++Now is to see the
sessions. The most important reason is to meet you. Please fill in your
personal profile and upload a photo.

Not Sold Out

We have an icon-clad contract with the Aspen Center for Physics that we'll not
accept more than 140 attendees, but we've not yet hit that limit. Tell your
colleagues that there is still time to join us for cutting-edge content on C++.

Lightning Talks

Like last year, we'll have two evenings of lightning talks (Monday and
Wednesday), hosted by Michael Caisse.

Have a favorite technique or library to share? Employed some C++11/14/17/20
feature in a project with amazing/horrible results? Want to start a
conversation on Boost 3.0? Submit your proposal for a 5-minute talk to
lightn...@cppnow.org<mailto:lightn...@cppnow.org>. Be sure to include a title,
3-sentence abstract, and something about yourself.

C++Now has an amazing group of attendees. Come to Flug at 8:30PM on Monday and
Wednesday evening to be amused, enlightened, outraged, or inspired!

Packing

Spring weather in the Rockies can be unpredictable. (The best comedian in Aspen
is the Weather Man.) Check your favorite weather site before leaving home, but
be prepared for it to be wrong. Consider dressing in layers. We typically see
snow and 70F (21C) with bright sun all in the same week (even the same day!).
Aspen’s altitude also means thinner air, so the sunshine is stronger than you
may expect. Consider sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. (The altitude affects
your hydration levels. Be sure to drink water regularly to avoid dehydration.)
Comfortable shoes are highly recommended as downtown Aspen is over a mile away
and the shortest distance from the resort to the Physics Center is through the
meadow.

Don't forget to bring your business cards and laptops. There is wifi available
at both the Aspen Institute and the Aspen Center for Physics, but an ethernet
cable and/or thumb drive may come in handy.

Looking forward to seeing you in Aspen!
