However this is not merged with the mainline of Pidgin's source yet. So if you happen to test the im.pidgin.soc.2008.xmpp branch Pidgin's XMPP engine will automatically try to use BOSH if the normal direct connection fails and it finds a BOSH connection manager via XEP-0156.
