The client won't wait for the whole BOSH WAIT period. It'll notice it as soon as the TCP connection is lost, and the client will generally notice that just as quickly as the server (if not sooner; a phone can tell that it's lost wifi or a cell data connection before the server, for example). Also, if you have two connections and one of them times out, chances are both of them will. > With ACKs enabled would it still simplify things for synchronous clients?
