Here's the info I promised at last night's meeting about the "New England
WWW Artist's Consortium" discussion list, which isn't only for artists,
and strictly, isn't always about NE or the WWW. But usually, about the
intersection of all three with an emphasis on small independent
businesses. I believe there are about 30 members currently.

It has its roots in the "WWWAC" list from New York City, which regularly
gets 1000+ messages a week and has a strong sense of community (I asked a
week ago about legal and accountant resources for moving to Canada; I've
gotten over a dozen helpful replies since).

There is an archive of the first month's posts (50 or so) and a
subscription form, at: http://NE.WWWAC.listbot.com/

Quoth Dan Mangi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> on December 28, 2000:

> The main purpose of the list is to provide a forum for professionals
from
> the community to exchange ideas, ask for help on technology or
> development, post job requirements, etc. etc. as it relates to software
> development for the world wide web. It is designed to encourage exchange
> and enlist help wherever it is needed.

> I would encourage cross-over from the (New York-based) WWWAC as I know
> MANY folks on the list that are now (or where once) based in the New
> England area.

Hope it's useful to ya.
