I recently released PSC (Perl Secure Conf) and I
thought I would ask my fellow mongers for their
thoughts on it. It is a combination of a perl suid
wrapper program that opens a protected conf file
and drops its priviledge, then running an unprotected
perl script but leaving it the file handle to read/write
from. The second part is Config::Secure, a module to
initialize your perl script and optionally parse
the config data.

The web site is at http://psc.sourceforge.net

I ran it through perlmonks once, and got a lot of
things worked out, but any other input is appreciated.
