I want to put linux on my home pc so I can do some serious perl programming at home. I'm also a linux virgin. All I am really concerned with is that Linux works, perl works on top of it, and it recognizes my hardware. I bought a second hard drive I'm reserving strictly for Linux. any Linux gurus want to send me some pointers off-list, I'd appreciate it greatly. I want as painless installation as possible. It doesn't have to be efficient, I just want it to work. thanks, Greg London
