With all this regex talk, I'd like to take a moment to recommend one of my all-time favorite O'Reilly books, *Mastering Regular Expressions* by Jeffrey E.F. Friedl. I don't usually like reading tech books, but this is one where you can sit down and read the whole thing quite painlessly. And, it's been very helpful to me, just to know all the little things you can do with regex.
