Modules may or may not export all of their namespace when they are used.
You may have seen something like this:
use CGI qw( :cgi );
Which is setting which stuff to export. I'm sure a quick glance through
the CBGB_File [I know it's wrong ...] should let you know how you can
export it. Or you might just need to call it explictly like you are.
