I have ActiveState Perl installed. The documentation has an example like the  following..

<script language="PerlScript">
$window->document->write("PerlScript says: Hello, world!");
</script>
It appears it mimics the DOM as exposed in Javascript. The doco states that you need an ActiveX scripting engine for Perl to access Perlscript from IE and there is one packaged with ActiveState.

See the doco for examples...

Subject: [Boston.pm] Client-side perl script setup?

I'm looking for "how-to's" on setting up a client-side perl scripting engine in IE.  My target systems already have perl installed,  and the ActiveState client-side Perlscript is not an option in this case.  So far I've found plenty of advice on how to use perlscript and how to install the AS version, but nothing on the nuts-and-bolts of linking a browser to an existing perl installation.  Any advice or pointers to doc would be greatly appreciated.    TIA,
