Job Description:
Design and program additional capabilities for LIMS system written in
Perl using Apache and DBI. Collaborate with other programmers,
scientists and bioinformaticians to design and program systems for both
production and research purposes in a molecular biology and microarray
laboratory. Communicate with users to determine specifications and
design and code successful systems.

Required Skills: Fluent and highly skilled in Perl programming. Design
of web-based systems in Perl with Apache, mod_Perl and DBI. Excellent
written and oral communication skills. Successful design and delivery of
production and research Perl systems. Basic knowledge of molecular
biology. Detailed knowledge of laboratory and automation systems
preferred. MySQL or other database design and administration. Experience
with UNIX/Linux.
Degree Requirements: B.S. in computer science or equivalent experience.

Shift:   Days , 40  Hours per week
