Senior Software Developer

  WebEvent has an opening for a top notch perl programmer
  to join our small, focused software development team in
  Andover, Massachusetts.

  We are seeking someone who's passionate about Perl, and
  excited by the opportunity work on a 100% Perl application
  providing the next generation of our web based calendaring
  engine.

  The ideal candidate would have 3 or more years of perl
  development experience, and have a good grasp of advanced
  topics such as object techniques, database design, web
  application frameworks, templating tools, and use of CPAN
  modules.

  Besides extremely strong Perl skills, and the ability to
  work effectively in a small team environment, you should
  have relevent experience delivering software products
  using at least some of the following technologies:

  - Development platforms: Linux/Unix, Microsoft Win*, MacOS X
  - Databases: MySQL, SQLServer, Oracle, Postgres, DB/2
  - Development tools: CVS, Bugzilla, RT
  - Web based application building: CGI, mod_perl, FastCGI, etc.
  - Web presentation: DHTML, CSS, JavaScript

  Additionally, experience with any of the following are pluses:

  - Calendaring technologies: iCalendar, vCal, CAP, ReefKnot
  - LDAP
  - RDF/RSS
  - Web Services: .NET, SOAP, etc.
  - Handheld device interfaces: WAP, etc.
  - Exchange/Outlook integration
  - System Administration: Apache, IIS, DBA skills, etc.

  Our development team is a small, high energy group, while our
  environment is casual and flexible, with a partial telecommuting
  schedule a possibility for those who can demonstrate
  productivity while working remotely.
