When a pointy-haired idiot manager can put a Linux CD in his system, have it install itself without any interaction, and just work without manual configuration, then I think the word will get out that open source really has something to offer. But Linux aint there yet. That, and have driver support for all the hardware. I still cant get a driver for my new printer... And then there's the whole conversion problem. I have some 3-D animation software that is only runs on Windows. When galileo said the Earth went around the Sun, he was a techie trying to convince the masses.
