hi, i have a couple of modules (all for cpan) that need to be tested more on windows and i don't have direct access to it. in a couple of cases only the tests may need fixing and the modules are ok. would anyone want to help me out here by either doing some testing or getting me access to their windows box? an ideal situation would be that either i bring over my linux laptop to your place or you could bring a windows laptop to mine. i would want both on a local net since i can edit and work on my laptop and then run the tests on your box. also your windows expertise (particularly with socket/pipe stuff) would be valuable. i am willing to buy dinner/beer as compensation. i would hope this could be all done in one evening or so as the problems are very small but i can't get the test/debug cycle tight enough without windows in front of me. i have done a little of this via the net with friends but it isn't as productive.
one side issue is that i want the windows box to NOT have cygwin. i think my stuff all works under cygwin which is why it makes it harder to verify that it all works properly under plain windows. also i think it needs to be win2k or similar and not 95/98 or similar. thanx, uri -- Uri Guttman ------ [EMAIL PROTECTED] -------- http://www.stemsystems.com --Perl Consulting, Stem Development, Systems Architecture, Design and Coding- Search or Offer Perl Jobs ---------------------------- http://jobs.perl.org _______________________________________________ Boston-pm mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.pm.org/mailman/listinfo/boston-pm
