I had a horror weekend trying to satisfy all the dependencies for XML::XSLT. Despite the best efforts of authors and admins, it took a long time.
It should be possible to compile a dependency tree for all the modules so it can be viewed or programmatically accessed. CPAN tries to do this to some extent but relies on the docs. Given a module, we should be able to do some magic with LWP::UserAgent (I assume CPAN to be an authoritative source). Someone may already have done this.
