Please reply off-list to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have my website hosted on Pair.com I would like to set up a secure area on my site that would allow a small group of people to post files (Word, rtf, txt) and have some sort of discussion about those files, in some sort of secure environment.
This is a writer's group I'm looking to possibly support, and people would be uploading stories and giving feedback on other people's stories. It would be something like a private forum on phpBB with associated file uploads. But as far as I can tell, you can't upload files on phpBB. So is there a non-web-guru way to set this up? I managed to figure out how to setup phpBB, so if there is some other tool that might do this, that would be great. I'm not sure if geeklog would do this or not, but i'd rather not install it if it is just another forum like phpBB. a possible option might be to set up a secure FTP area on my website, but I have no clue how to do that. Is there a simple way to tell FTP who can and cannot view a particular directory and keep track of usernames/passwords, etc? a list of stuff available on pair.com is here: http://www.pair.com/support/knowledge_base/authoring_development/ _______________________________________________ Boston-pm mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.pm.org/mailman/listinfo/boston-pm
