Yes, LapLink cables (or similar brands of PC-PC non-networking e.g. WinConnect) are great specs for null-modem cables suitably gendered for PCs. They even usually have the 25-9 pin adapter built in as a triplehead cable or some such.
The Laplink cable I have has 25 and 9 pin female at both ends, and came with a male-to-male 25 pin adapter.
