here is a map of one of the parking lots we can use. you enter it from
anherst st.

        http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?mapterms=e51&mapsearch=go

note: if you select parking lots on the left menu, they all get labeled
on the map. and you can then select a lot in the lower menu and find it
on the map.

there's also a lot on hayward street, just off amherst.

this is what i got back from the mit liason:

>so what are the parking rules for those lots?

Well, the rule is that you need to have a sticker to use the lot.

Anecdotal evidence (as well as my personal experience) suggests that
there is no enforcement after 3pm weekdays, nor on the weekends. While
I can't guarantee that none of your members will ever get a ticket, I
can say that chances are very slim. In addition, it's a ticket issued
by MIT Campus Police, so as far as I know it would have no effect on
their Massachusetts driving record.

so i would say parking is easy and free for our meetings. many other
groups meet there and i am sure some come by car and they would be
bitching to this office if ticketing occured.
