ok, like before you have dibs for now. as always, if you get the book,
you have to write a review.

well, when damian is involved aren't those the same? :)

actually i disagree with a bunch of the rules in PBP but that is fine
according to the introduction. other rules i agree with but i may not
practice them. and still others i agree with but i use a different way
to apply them (e.g. different code/module). the primary goal of the book
is to help the readers come up with a consistant set of best practices
and it offers its rules as a possible set. reading it will elevate your
awareness of code quality at all levels and allow you to improve your
coding styles by making you concious of your coding and style
choices. too often coders just do things a certain way because they have
seen it before or first learned it that way and without any realization
that there are better alternatives. coding is all about choices and you
should be selecting your answers for good reasons.
