hi all,
the meeting tonight was mostly a discussion of where we are on the yapc
proposal and what we have to do. we are looking for more help (now and
for later) so please volunteer if you can. the more who help out, the
easier the whole project will be.
right now we are gathering financial info and more details for each of
the potential sites (lesley, mit, simmons, umass/boston and
wentworth). and we still are alive with a possible corp site for
all/part of yapc.
we have all the sites covered with someone who will be getting the info
we need. but we can use help in collating the data (into a kwiki) and
also doing up spreadsheets on them. ronald said he could do the
spreadsheet work but i felt he was stretching a little :). so if some
spreadsheet expert out there would like to help, i won't object! :)
the first thing any volunteer should do is join the mailing list which
you can do at this page:

there still are no yapc::na site proposals and i haven't heard any
rumors of any. so this is a great chance for boston to host
yapc. remember that in other years with competition, we might not be
selected for cost reasons.
